Fresh food waste is one of the biggest factors for food shortages around the world. Just alone in the USA 40% of FRESH FOOD GOES TO WASTE. Fresh food grown in the backyard of some of the best growers goes to waste in food gardens for not being able to find and share with consumers. Meanwhile consumers who want to buy locally but are unable to locate locally grown food. Eggs produced organically by a chicken enthusiast are fed back to chickens for lack of availability to share it with consumers. Meanwhile consumers who are traveling to supermarkets and paying premium prices for lower quality eggs. These challenges encouraged me to start a platform where farmers along with backyard growers can list their farm stands and share it with nearby neighbors. Less trips to supermarkets will encourage big farmers to produce less but better-quality products that are more environmentally friendly. We can tackle the food shortages and fresh food Deserts with help of you the growers and the Consumers one neighborhood at a time.
